I'm not a guru...
I never had an issue by flashing a new bios, but I strongly recommend you backup your important data, just in case. It's a customized bios, after all. There's no guarantee it won't melt your PC...

Hi Zio, I just installed your bios and works fine. my ssd 830 128gb raised slightly in write & read as well as iops (from 399 to 403 mb in write tested with Samsung embedded software).

As soon as my SSD is here I will start testing and report back. If this bios passes all tests and proves to be fully reliable, I will post a detailed guide on how to build the option rom modules starting from the original firmware image from Marvell.

Just as a side note, in my tests I was also successful in installing Intel raid rom 11.5 and it was working fine.

I've read at the Intel forum's that 11.7 is here. Not sure if it is compatible with R3E though.

Yes, they are compatible, but this drivers designed only for win 7 and 8

Any ideas why i cannot update with the latest JMIcron driver 1.17.65.11 from station-drivers ?

I flashed to the latest 1601_S06 and all drivers are updated.
