I have an older Asus P8P67 rev 3.0 motherboard. I tried to upgrade the bios using ez-flash and it bricked the computer. Afterwards I did the following:
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
- Pulled the socketed chip and dumped the bricked bios.
- Downloaded the latest bios from Asus.
- Used fd44editor to transfer the mac address and serial number to the new bios.
- Couldn’t find a system uuid sticker so I made one up (no 00’s or ff’s).
- Programmed and reinstalled the chip.
- Reset the bios to optimum defaults.
