I have a p170hm laptop from Clevo and i bought a Alienware 6990m gpu to it because the old died card died.
And now the screen is up but the computer starts beeping after 20 secs and the fans blows on 100% and after 50 secs it turns off. Any way to fix that?

Would the modded P170HM3 Prema-Bios work on my P150HM?
If yes, could someone provide the bios please to me?

I have a P770DM-G from Pro-Star and would like to have many of the options unhidden in the BIOS to tweak my system more to my needs. I especially would like the option to put the SATA ports in IDE mode. Currently I only have AHCI and RAID options. Would appreciate any help with that. I have used AMI AptioV to save the current ROM if that is needed. Thanks.

I've got brand new Clevo p375sm with stock bios and one gtx880m 8GB inside and it's working almost perfectly.
I wanted to upgrade to SLI, so I bought second gtx880m (used, not new, also 8GB, and seller wrote that it came from dell alienware).
So I put this card to gpu second slot. Unfortunately my computer reacted like in Chevez and Anders-i's case (see few posts above): after start my Clevo boots to Windows, everything is ok during few seconds, but suddenly it beeps about 30x and then shuts down.
My Clevo beeps and shuts down also after I put pendrive and booted to DOS.
Then I installed this dell gtx880m to primary gpu slot as the only gpu - result was black screen, about thirty beeps and shutdown after minute.
Let's assume that the gpu is not damaged and problem lies somewhere else. What should I do now? Could something help me if I flashed Prema's V2 BIOS? Is it BIOS issue? Something locked in stock BIOS?

P375SM:
BIOS 1.03.03RG
EC 1.03.01N8
BIOS from original gtx880m from P375SM: 80.04.E9.00.10
BIOS from Dell gtx880m: 80.04.E8.00.0C

These two cards look almost identical, small differences are in some small chips at the top of cards.

I read a lot of posts about putting dell/msi gpus to clevo laptops and vice versa and in worst case I was prepared to flash vbios of installed dell gpu (for example flash it with previously loaded vbios from my first original 880m). But I'm not able to flash it cause of Clevo shutdowns
Any idea except putting this gpu card to garbage ?? Prema, your help will be probably most valuable.

Although I have been able to open up the menus on the Clevo p770dm, I still can only choose between RAID and AHCI. In one area of the BIOS for the individual SATA controllers you can pick IDE, RAID, AHCI for default and optimal settings when modding the BIOS however the IDE option is not present for the SATA mode choices in the Setup menu. Anyway of adding it.

Hi everyone,
So I have a Clevo laptop, I am trying to add my own logo. I have access to all current CLEVO laptop Bios's (no I will not tell you how or where to get them) I will be glad to help you guys out by getting bios files for you, but I would also like some help myself.
Here is what I have done so far. I have the current bios from my Clevo source. I have used Aptio Logochanger to load my logo into the current bios file. I have even verified it is save after changing it. However, when I use MESET and then Flashme to load the bios file it looks as though it flashes successfully, but my logo is still not showing on the boot. It still show that darn "Style Note" logo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will in turn help anyone I can.

Sounds almost like a thermal issue!?! Especially since you are getting into the OS and then it shuts down. Any beeps in a dos envir. Just my guess.

I don't know how Prema does his bio mod, but I can tell you that the P170HM3 runs a completely different bios file than the P150HM. However, the P15xHM is compatible with the P15xHM1 systems. That probably is of no use to you, but just incase you see someone else with the P150HM1.   Let me know if you want a copy of your stock bios. I can access 1.01.11 and EC firmware 1.00.07. Which includes the step1, step2 batch files already.

That is definitely a thermal issue. the beeping is your system tell you that which is why it shuts off to prevent damage.
