Dead BIOS Acer Predator / MS-7829 , REV 1.1

Hello i need help to repair desktop pc.

Computer is acer predator g3-605

http://www.acer.nl/ac/nl/NL/content/model/DT.SQYEH.017

I updated bios from official website ( i made backup before it)
After update i saw once bios menu with visible only 1 GB ( from 8 GB ),
after restart i hear only one long beep sound from speaker and cd rom look for cd.
No screen reaction. Cmos also cleared, no reaction.

I used method with puting AMIBIOS.ROM on CD/flash , doesn`t work .


Motherboard model is MICRO STAR Model : MS-7829 , REV 1.1

Please help me to fix this computer , because i have no idea how to repair this and i spend all my cash for this new pc with was working 2 days.

It's a Phoenix Ami APTIO Bios, You can try using recovery Mode for Phoenix Bios :

EFI / Insyde BIOS
Recovery filenames are:

P01-A3.ROM

Pubkey found in 996AA1E0-1E8C-4F36-B519-A170A206FC14_618.ROM at 0
Marker found in 69009842-63F2-43DB-964B-EFAD1C39EC85_612.ROM at 0
'SLIC' string found in 4C494E55-5849-5342-4554-544552212121_605.ROM at 4AF
OEM/Table IDs identified are:
1. ACRSYSACRPRDCT
Pubkey (x1)
Marker (2.1) (ACRSYSACRPRDCT) (x1)


You have to extract Bios from original biof file, then copy from Rom folder that file in a USB Dos Formatte Fat32 and choice the right keys to press at reboot.
Find Recovery Mode on internet and follow the guide.

i formatted fat32 usb stick

i renamed backup file to this one, and i pressed windows key + b and no reaction.

Can You tell me what files should containt usb stick ?

Please Upload your Bios File as I cannot download it.
Use Rghost or Sendspace server.
I downloaded a version different may be so Recovery Name is not right mine !

Yes It's an Ami APTIO Bios (using Phoenix Structure) and there are two files :

1. P11-B4.CAP is an EC (Embedded Controller) version to check Bios
2. RCVBOOT.CAP is Bios Region for your Eeprom Chip

I have not experience with this Bios kind and I have read that none was able to Recovery this kind of Bios !
I think You have gto get an SPI External Programmer to write Eepom directly by POMONA oic Clip !

i spoke with acer service and they say it is not bios problem.
i am sending back pc for a guarantee service.
