What tool i must use to flash? WinPhlash says "wrong check summ"

Ive recompiled winflash and configued the settings file to flash the correct bios. Try running winflash.exe from this (extract all files or it wont work):-

Solved. Just use original flashpack from Dell and rename FLASHABL21.ROM to FLASHABL.ROM

Also if you get an error stating that the bios is not Flashable remove your battery and try again, I did this and it worked, using the very laptop I Flashed to write this post.

Yes - I too am resurrecting an old reliable unit  - Dell 1501  and need a modded Bios for Win 7 Ultimate.
 Any one had this in the archives?
