Dell Latitude D600 BIOS Password problem
#1
Hello everybody.

I have an old dell latitude D600 notebook wich came with bios password from fabrication. i tryed all possible ways to get rid of the password (updated my bios contact Dell support) except bios modding.

I have some experience but i dont have and dont find a bios rom image i just got the BIOS exe file (attached) from dell wich seems to be a flash together with rom file and i have no ideea if i could extract the rom file edit and reflash with some other phoenix flash utillity.

I would also like after password unlocking having all possible settings visible.
I dont need someone modding my Bios for me if this not possible but i could use some information on how could i do this.

Thank you!

My service tag is 8KV9N61 and sistem number #8KV9N61-595B.

cmos battery doesnt work and crisis method....... what is that?
I think is some hardware password or something bechause on reflash (I mean complete including nv and bb) normally any pass gets cleared or is assignet to the service tag.
Iv-e done one AMI Aptio BIOS on my asus n73sv some issues with optimus but Phoenix im not familiar with them i dont even know the program witch should i use for this operation in my attempt to modify the image and i dont have any ideea on how could i extract the ROM image file from this dell self flashing arhive.
