Hello, I was wondering if the BIOS file in the link can be modified to SLIC 2.1?

Here you go , i used Dell 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

BIOS Flash successful. Everything is working great. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (Dell OEM disc) and checked the activation status; it says it has been activated. Thank you so much!!

I have used a modified bios from 1234s282 for another model and worked great. I am interested in this one for the 745 but it is flagged by my security software where the other modded bios was not. Can you or anyone vouch for the safety of this modded bios for the Optiplex 745? When I say safety, I mean malware free, not whether it will work on the motherboard.

Sorry to revive an old thread...
This did not work for me, flashed bios, imported certificate and rebooted.
Didnt activate, so I imported and rebooted again, without sucsess.

Then I added the Win7 x64 OEM key from the machine I got my Win7x64SP1 disc, still nothing.

Any reason the certificate is called: Dell-Dell-2.0 ?
Sounds like Slic 2.0 to me?

You need a 2.1 slic for 7, make a new request here;

Update from windows, run BiosUpdate_HEIDEN_2.6.6.exe as administator.
