ECS GF7050VT-M
#1
I was wondering if there anything that can be unlocked. One of the main things is that this motherboard runs in single channel mode. I was wondering if that can be changed to dual channel. Also if theres any extra features that can be unlocked.

Latest Bios File: http://download.ecsusa.com/dlfileecs/bio...080707.zip

Product Home: http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=838&CategoryID=1&MenuID=16&LanID=9

This motherboard is very similar:

~Thanks

Unfortunately there are no hidden options in this bios Sad - Sorry!

However , from experience i believe that memory will run in dual channel (if the board supports this) if you place identical memory sticks in slots 1 and 3 and/or 2 and 4. Basically , placing the memory in alternative slots and matching the sticks will make them run in dual channel mode if the memory and motherboard supports dual channel

Thanks, I do have two identical ram sticks in both slots but they run in single channel still. I'm guessing it's limited by hardware then.

Did you check the hardware specs to see if it says it supports dual, because I'm pretty sure this is by default set by hardware, the bios just initializes it.

The ECS website says it only supports Single Channel. I just searched my 610i chipset and it also only supports Single Channel so I'm guess I'm out of luck.

Sorry, but unless we build you a new motherboard, it's not possible.
