Guide Whitelist remove for 2014+ Lenovo/thinkpad
#11
I succesfully patched my X1 Carbon 2nd Gen.
But my Bios does not stop to beep every boot 5 x 2 times.
Is there any fix for this?

Regards

Edit: Should the WWAN Port now accept every kind of SSD? If yes, it was not succesful :/

2nd Edit: Can i replace 32442D09-1D11-4E27-8AAB-90FE6ACB0489 in SystemFromBrowserCore DXE from Leokims patch for Advanced Menu?

I've succesfully removed the whitelist and unlocked the Advanced menu on my X1 Carbon 2nd Gen (20A8) with bios GRET36WW (1.13). I dumped my original BIOS via SPI and patched it with the "79E0EDD7-9D1D-4F41-AE1A-F896169E5216.MOD" module from Leokims patch and "32442D09-1D11-4E27-8AAB-90FE6ACB0489.mod" from stevenmirabito T450s patch.

Hello,

i have an Thinkpad X230 and i make an Bios dump with different
progs (fpt, bios backup toolkit 2.0, testback) and when i load the file
with the phoenixtool 2.66 and switch to the EFI-Structure i never found
this line starting with 79E0..... and this LenovoWmaPolicy Dxe.

When i look for 79E0EDD7-9D1D-4F41-AE1A-F896169E5216_xxxx i have
3 files, but the last 4 numbers are other then here in the forum.

I have Bios 2.54, i know this is very old, i have the hope with the old bios i can
use the dosflash tool when i have the Bios-File with whitelist.

The 2 Lenovo Files FL1 are Main (8 MB) and the FL2 (4 MB) are the embedded rom, is this right ?

Who can help me ? Anyone here come from germany, muenchen ?

Greetings, Peter

Hello

I'm befor moding BIOS in my Lenovo X1 Carbon 1st Gen (Type 3444). I have for now tools -  "USB SPI Programmer" and "SOIC8 SOP8 cable" and I'm waiting for new WiFi card AzureWave AC-CE123H (BCM94352HMB chip) which is not supported on oryginal BIOS.

Does will be work the "79E0EDD7-9D1D-4F41-AE1A-F896169E5216.MOD" module from Leokims patch and "32442D09-1D11-4E27-8AAB-90FE6ACB0489.mod" from stevenmirabito T450s patch for Lenovo X1 Carbon 1st Gen (Type 3444)? What You think?
