HP Compaq 761ES F.34 BIOS Custom ?
#1
Hello to all ,
I have in my hands a Compaq 761ES that HP it self doesn't detect more than 2GB of ram (2x1GB) , what ever you put inside.Even though the laptop chipset support 4GB
I have searched the google and found that you can put a custom bios , that will "unlock this feature".

Any one knows anything ?

Install more then 2GB memory.
Post screenshots of Memory & SPD tabs of CPU-Z.
Open Device Manager, click View at the top of the Device Manager window, click Resources by type, and then select Memory. This should give you an output similar to the picture shown below

GL960 chipset officially supports only 2GB maximum. Unofficially - 3GB.
Try install 1GB SODIMM in first(!) slot and 2GB SODIMM in second(!) slot.
BTW: this chipset has unofficially support of DDR2-667 Mhz.
