It seems I can't edit the VSS, I get "error cannot set variable using EFI (error 0x00000000000000001a)", so I can't make the changes I need.

So can someone enable Advanced mode or give me a flashable bios or VSS with different default settings?

I don't know if my bios file is signed or not but I suspect yes.

The bios image in the upgrade tool can't be read by Andy's Phoenix SLIC tool, to open it in that tool I used the third option in the HP BIOS upgrade tool to create a separate *.bin (and a *.s12 file).

I provide a single archive with Andy's tool log, *.bin files and *.s12 file, the upgrade program, and the flash dump I made with my hardware flasher.

Yeah, because I have a hardware flasher so I'm not afraid of trying new things.
