HP G60-533CL Request...
#1
I have loaded a Dell windows 7 disk onto my wifes HP G60-533CL with an Insyde motherboard. I am hoping to find a SLIC2.1 mod that will allow me to continue to use my Win7 Pro disk...

Does anyone have one or can you point me in the right direction for getting one?

Thank you in advance!

Post a Proper Request.
Include Link to Original BIOS File, R/W Everything Report, Make and Model of PC and Motherboard, etc, etc.

Thank you DMAN... I didn't see a proper request format so I just tossed it out there. I will search around for the requested info.

First question - what is an R/W Everything Report and how do I run one?

Thx!

HOW TO CREATE AN RW EVERYTHING REPORT

Download and Install RWEverything from one of the following links:
http://jacky5488.myweb.hinet.net/
http://jacky5488.myweb.hinet.net/bin/RwV1.4.7.zip

Open RWEverything.

After RWEverything Opens, click ACCESS - ACPI Tables.

When ACPI Tables opens, click anywhere within the ACPI Window.

Now click CONTROL + F2 to save the entire table.

Save this Report to the desktop WITHOUT CHANGING THE NAME and either attach this file to your post or upload it to one of the following:
www.box.net or www.mediafire.com or www.sendspace.com

If you upload your RWEverything Report to one of the 3 host servers above, post the download link of your RWEverthing Report in the Post of your Mod Request.

Below is the preferred method in which to post your mod requests:
-Manufacturer:
-Motherboard Model:
-Bios revision:
-Bios Type: Phoenix BIOS
-Bios Download Link:
-RW Everything Report Download Link:

This BIOS Update (F.65) for that PC already has HP SLIC 2.1 in it:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51001-51500/sp51485.exe

You just need to Flash that and then install the HP Cert and HP Win 7 Pro Serial and you will be fine.

Does it matter which HP cert to install? I have looked and looked and haven't found one for my model. I have my WIN7 product key ready.

Thx again... i can't tell you how much i appreciate the help!

You can use the attached Certificate.
And I would use the HP OEM SLP Key that goes with your Version of Win 7 (Ultimate, Pro or whatever), but it isn't absolutely necessary.
The DELL OEM Key will still work, I just like everything to match when possible.
