Just want to confirm that the mod works by flashing the BIOS chip using a hardware programmer CH341A. It took me some time to locate the BIOS chip hidden at the back of the motherboard, i had to remove the whole board to get to it. The actual chip model is W25Q16CV. Here is the new CPUID, thanks.

Just wanted to drop a quick update i was going trought the same thing and the BIOS flash worked! Used the CH341A programmer on the Winbond 25Q16CVSIG chip, and now the new A8-3870k processor is up and running without a hitch.

Big thanks to DeathBringer for the BIOS file and the guidance. Couldn't have done it without both of you.
