HP update model and serial

Hello,

I am restoring/repairing an older HP media center pc from 2007. As part of the process i had to replace the motherboard. I bought the same factory HP Asus motherboard but used. Is it possible to update the model and serial number to match the computer i put it in?

The model number in the bios of the new motherboard is m8120n, my model number is m8167c.

The motherboard is an Asus P5BW-LA, Basswood 3G. Looks to have bios version 5.07.
