(Help Please) CQ61-109TU Modded SP51527 file....
#1
Hi there knowledgeable peeps. I have the Laptop above, the CQ61-109TU Compaq Presario. I upgraded the CPU to (T8100) and 8gb ram. I have a broadcom 4313 1x1 wifi card in it now running fine, it was unsupported until I found a modified SP51527 bios file which I gritted my teeth and flashed the bios with it.

I thought I had bricked it because when I went into the bios after flashing it hardly anything was there, I can't do anything because there is nothing there to click on or enable or disable. As I say I thought I bricked it, and so I did the only thing left and reflashed it with a good F.23 bios file and it worked, I got the bios back.

So it got me thinking again what was the first file about SO I reflashed it again with the file and then tried the unsupported broadcom card and walah it was accepted.

SO

I must have stumbled across a semi finished sp51527 bios file and downloaded and ran that. The laptop is running really well, it shuts down and goes to sleep etc ok so I figure I can leave it with the bios that allows me to have bluetooth, and man does BT run fine and has great volume unlike the later stuff.

Anyway I was wondering if anybody had a finished modded sp51527 bios file that I could have because I'd really like to have my bios back but the moment I reflash it with the original bios the wifi card wont be recognised.

Help me please if you can and thanks in advance for your contribution. Regards, Jason. Smile

Should have said. I'd like the file with the whitelist removed or modded to accept any wifi card please. My particular CQ61 takes either a full wifi card or can accept the half mini cards as well, it was running a full wifi only card and has in it now a half mini wifi/bluetooth card and she's running beautifully.
