I searched b4 requesting - HP DV7-5000

I saw a request for the same model, but no reply.

I did try the 54077 in the mod list, but to no avail. It's supposedly impossible to mod. (Update: I did manage to get 54077 to work by changing 'platform.ini' but it did not help with the card; the modded bios will not save changes.)

I'd appreciate all the help you can give.

UPDATE:

I have the card installed and recognized. Now here's the issue:

Can not connect or locate any wireless networks. The "HP Assistant" tells me that wireless is not enabled. When I go to the network adapter, it tells me it is enabled. The wireless button does not change anything.

Any ideas?

UPDATE:

Got it to work... the final step was the electrical tape on the pin. I saw that in another post.
