Lenovo L540 Recovery
#1
Hey,
i have a Lenovo L540 with a bad Bios. First it just showed the Lenovo Logo and a Time Error. "real time clock error". And i was not able to enter the Bios.
I took a Dump with a CH341A Programmer and tried to flash an other dump from the Internet. Now the Notebook powers on immediately after plugging in the power cord. The fan rotates and the screen is black!

What can i do?

I added the dump i took before i tried to reflash the chip and the File from the Lenovo Homepage.

i hope you can help me
best regards
Mawa

Hi~~
Here are two dump bios you can try ,and if you confirm it is a bios issue ,maybe you can consider to replace a new chip to test.

Hey,
thank you a lot for answering!

I tried both dumps. both do not work.

If i flash the chip and plug the power cord in, the power button flashes 2 times and the fan starts to rotate. Also i can hear some silent noise from the speakers. I can turn the laptop off by long pressing the power button, but it turns itself on a short while later.
I tried to use a VGA Monitor but that does not start either.
Without a bios chip the device does not turn on at all.
If i flash 00 or FF to the entire memory, the Laptop also does not start.

I tried it with the original chip and with a new one! Same behaviour. (i soldered a adapter for my clamp to the footprint to easy plug in and unplug the chip...)

Kind regards Manuel
