Sorry for i am writing this topic.
Tell me what I could have done. My brain is boiling. I'm not good with Linux.
I'm trying to update the BIOS on my Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E530. 1.12 ->2.60
I keep getting the error "The process does not recognize this system. The process has been canceled."
I made a bootable USB following this instruction - https://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=135552
I don't even know what to do anymore.
I tried following Lenovo's instructions for updating and configuring the BIOS. But the BIOS itself keeps throwing a spanner in the works. After a while, it crashes, sometimes preventing me from saving anything. The only way to get back in is to reset the BIOS (remove the battery).
There is no possibility to burn a CD.
