M17xr2 cpu microcode change possible?
#11
Well I have some good news and bad news. The bad news is that I cannot open this image in PBE no matter what I try. (PSI Analysis fail). This means I cannot emulate your setup screen to verify my findings. The good news is that I can still perform the neccesary modifications using a different tool. To make things much easier for me though, I would really appreciate a picture of your Main screen, Advanced Screen, and Overclocking menu.

Thanks,
TheWiz

iv got pictures listed below. cpu frequency is disabled unless you have extreme and only overclocks to 5% which is a bit poor i think.

Thanks, these should help. Are QPI options of interest as well?

Hi goodstone,

I didn't really want to chart too far yet as I want to make sure this update works. Because I cannot emulate the setup screen, I cannot verify that the new options will appear where they should. Please prepare a CRISIS recovery disk in advance in case something goes awry.

In your performance menu, Throttling and a new Memory Frequency menu should now appear.

Good luck!

Hello,

just applied the mod. There is a new option in the performance menu t-states enable-disable.

Picture below. no memory sub menu.

MKay, the T-States is your throttling option I believe, the Memory stuff could be linked a bit trickier than I thought.

This should give us QPI Link.
