MSI, bringing back removed options
#1
Hi there.

I updated the BIOS of my MSI GT627 from 1.0S to 1.14 in order to be able to use my 2x4Gb memory kit. This new BIOS has two options removed, one for setting 667 or 800Mhz for the ram memory, as well as the timmings, and another option for cpu power management. I was wondering if some of you guys could be able to edit the BIOS and bring those options back. Another option could be making the old BIOS to be able to run with 8Gb properly.

1.0S BIOS. It has all the settings I need but won't run with 8Gb

1.14 BIOS. It runs perfect with 8Gb and is the latest one, but some important options are missing

Thanks!!

its always best to mod the latest one Smile you try flashing abios version backwards and you will see why!! Tongue

now the only two hidden settings in the newer bios are CPU TM Function and C1E Support. Nothing else!

Il look into this further , its a good learning curve for me if i can figure how to add these options back

Thanks for your patience Smile

I have a modded bios (version 1.12) and the original 1.12, if it would help I can upload both copies so you can compare what has been done.

Memory timings and frequency have been added, as well as a lot of other options.

And there is one interesting thing about this bios, the CPU ratio option has been added, but it doesn't show up in the bios.
