Not sure where i should post this so ill start here, BIOS related
#1
Hello, i am new to doing BIOS updates, I am not sure which BIOS for my computer would be teh right one.

I have a Acer Asprire M5800 with current bios Version P01.A0 Which was released on 03/19/2009. My current operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium(64 bit) which was upgraded via the Free upgrade to Win 7 program from Vista 64 bit Home premium which came pre-installed.

Which Bios update would be the "Right" one to update to? I have a constant unpredictable crashing, Most of the time while playing games. I can crash idleing on Desktop its just more frequent when i am playing games, From as low as Europa 1400 to Starcraft 2.

There is 3 listed on Acers support side one is for Linux Which i have removed from the list.

Type- Vendor- File- version -size- Release date
BIOS- Acer- BIOS- P01.A2- 2.5 MB- 2010/03/02
BIOS- Acer- BIOS- P01.A0- 1.1 MB- 2009/06/05

Think this is all i need but if not Them please ask for it and ill look at getting it for you.

well if your running windows "BIOS_ACER_P01.A2_Windows_ASM3800 ASM5800.zip" is the proper bios update for the m5800. as for if thats going to help you though im not 100% sure but it could. tell me more about your computer. is it all stock settings?
