Hi everyone
I am new to bios update but i got a old intel motherboard and a xeon E5 2680 V1. After some research i found out that this xeon processor is supported on the DX79 but after some bios update.
After many attempts to update the bios from 537 to 590 ( i used the classic method press F7 then use a stick format Fat32. Then i used intel express bios update on win7 32bit)
I read that the intel bios on those boards can be updated only with SPI programmer. I made a bios back up from the chip and then when i wanted to write the new bios i found out that the 590 bios have 9.9mb and the old bios have 8mb.
So now i need someone that can send me a 8mb 590 bios or tell me where i do wrong...
