Hello,
I'm trying to add the option to enable AHCI on a MSI MS-1731. It has an (awful) SiS 672 chipset whose 968 southbridge supports it.
The option is not present in the bios file, not just hidden, but there are some strings (f0h to f4h) that give me hope it could be feasible.
I tried following the "Obsolete_BIOS_Guide.pdf" tutorial but I'm getting stuck as I can't dump the the cmos, as amiscew won't run (ERROR: The bios cannot use this utility).
Attached is the bios file from MSI if anyone can help.
I'm not worried of bricking the machine as I've got a programmer and a good dump.
Thank you!
