[REQUEST] ASUS P5N-D unlock completely
#1
Motherboard: ASUS P5N-D

Bios version: 1401
BIOS link: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/so...D/1401.zip
I would like to unlock everything on this bios as I would like to do extreme overclocking with this motherboard. So far I have got my Q9550 to 3.5 ghz and 3.4 ghz stable. I have already updated the CPU microcode on the BIOS to the latest version so that in the future I could upgrade to a LGA 771 Xeon. I hope to see my modded BIOS soon Smile . It would also be useful if you could try to update or even add some option ROMs.
Thanks.

I don't see any overclocking options disabled in your BIOS, what is it you are wanting? You can view all current BIOS settings in this BIOS with Award BIOS Editor 1.02, in the "System BIOS" on left, then go to "Setup menu" tab.

I basically want every single option unlocked. Also I tried Award bios editor but it came up with corrupted menus

Did you read what I mentioned, there is nothing to unclock, so I was asking what is it you are specifically looking for?

You have to have exact version I mentioned, here is copy, BIOS opens fine and nothing is corrupted

i tried your version of award bios editor and it worked fine now. I want to make it lga 771 compatible to futureproof the system and also update the RAID and Ethernet ROM's. Also i found an AGP Bridge menu. Mabye you could try enabling it as this option is not present in the original bios. One more thing, is it possible to enable AHCI mode as the option is not in the bios.

You can update all that with cbrom (Not sure version to use until I get into that, and there are MANY versions)

I will check on AHCI mode, if there is AHCI module in the BIOS then we can enable that. Will check the rest too

I cannot safely edit RAID or Realtek until you have flash programmer in case of bad flash, due to modules locations.  Someone else might do for you, but I would not feel comfortable unless you have programmer in hand.

Similar applies to AGP Bridge option, without programmer I would not feel comfortable enabling, due to unsure if ABE is safe for this specific BIOS, you can enable yourself with the program I sent you though, but I do advise to order the programmer first just in case.  And after checking that with AWB and Modbin, it has no options in either, but is shown as visible in modbin, so would appear to you in BIOS if it applied to your hardware (I have no clue what it's for, so can't say what hardware is needed)

This is only programmer I know that can do PLCC32 type BIOS  -
Nano USB Programmer for PLCC32/DIP8 BIOS - https://www.ebay.com/itm/271313593344)

on AHCI, see post #3 here - I see same mentioned for 780i and 750i on many forums.
https://www.overclock.net/forum/355-ssd/...board.html

I am comfortable with this mod though, here is BIOS with all updated microcodes and 771 added too.
