[REQUEST] Acer Aspire 5750(G,Z) & 5755(G) BIOS Unlock
Hi Serexon,

Probably your chip doesn't hold full speed with 0,85v, but that may be because of the overheating as well. Try to do the first steps that Moglie did, open, clean, change thermal paste..

Hi nuno169 nice to read you here again. Could you explain where you get the modded VBIOS from and how did you integrate it with which programs etc.!?

I got a GT540M 2GB in my Notebook and running your modded BIOS, but it only works on full load for me

Idle: 1,00v
Full: 0,83v

Hi guys! Some days ago I was searching for Acer 5750g modded bios. So I found akbar bios, and it works like a charm. Then I wanted to undervolt my gpu (GT630M) but I didn't find any 5750g's bios with undervolted vBios for my card. Due to that, I started to make some researches for modding the bios by myself. Well, I've achieved that Smile Here's the modded bios with undervolted GT630M vBios (Idle: 0,83 - Full: 0,85). Simply flash it with InsydeFlash.exe. I've tested it, and for me it works very well. All game I tested works well too, without crashes or black screens. However I can't guarantee that this modded bios will work well for everyone. I don't assume any responsibility if you get your laptop unusable. If anyone need an undervolted mod for a different vBios, simply ask there.

P5WE0121_GT630M_Undervolt(0.83-0.85)

Yes you read correct.

Anyone got an idea or maybe know how to make an proper BIOS for my Notebook with the following voltages?

Idle: 0,83v
Full: 0,85v

Thank you!

If you provide me the link of your bios and a gpu-z screenshot I can try to make it for you Big Grin

Hey Azarielz,

WOW thank you for your help. Smile It would be very nice if you could help with that, and maybe explain which tools you used to edit the BIOS + where you find the values to edit. Just a short description if you dont mind. (Because if all runs nice i want maybe to build a OC profile for the my videocard also.)

Here is a picture of GPUZ from my videocard.

Here is the BIOS for my Notebook (akbar102 UEfi-advanced v 1.21):

I would like to have this voltages on my GT540M (if its possible):

Idle: 0,83v
Full: 0,85v

regards Cool

Try that: P5WE0121_ByAkbar_GT540M_Undervolt(0.83-0.85). It's has not been tested, but it should work fine. Let me now if there is any problem. I also suggest to check the gpu vid using HwMonitor, is the more accurate I have found. Many monitor programs report a wrong gpu vid. Now I'm a little busy, I will provide you a step by step guide asap.

Thank you, the BIOS works. Smile

So now iam confused, since you told me HwMonitor is more correct with GPU Vids i installed it and checked the voltages... They are now like i want them (0,83v -0,85v) with your BIOS.

BUT Aida64 and HWINFO64 (to show osd ingame temp, voltage etc.) show me different voltages (0,83v - 1v) with your BIOS.

Now Iam not sure if the older "undervolted GT540M BIOS" not also worked correct while Aida64 and HWINFO64 show me different (wrong?) voltages compared to HwMonitor. Huh

I will reflash again old then yours again to compare and let you know.

Thanks again for your work, Iam very happy! Smile

Huh

It's possible. Aida64 and HWInfo are well know to have this issue with GPU vid, I forgot to mention that before XD

Let me know if the old bios also work properly.

Sad news; the old undervolted BIOS posted here worked properly, but you succeed also xD

But in the end i know which program to read the VID properly.

Anyway if you have a little time please share how you did that, i guess many users want to know. Wink

Now thinking to undervolt or OC the CPU a bit if its possible but not sure.

Haha, no problem, the most important thing is that you got your gpu undervolted as you want Smile

I will write a little guide tomorrow! Actually it's not too difficult.

I'm working on that. I'm not sure if it's possible too, but if I'll find a way I'll surely share that here.

Thanks for the soon comming guide Smile

Oh you already worked on the undervolting CPU or/and OC options? Would be awesome
