my laptop is acer v3 571-g with inside v2.21 bios
I try to install w7 in efi and I cant because my bise don't have a csm button
I wont install w7 in legacy
please help me

Hi, I might need help as i'm a newbie in bios unlocking.
I have an Acer aspire v3-571g which came with windows 8, later updated to 8.1.
I've recently updated the bios to 2.21.

I've understood the "unlocking" procedure: format an usb stick (better if it has a led) to FAT, copy the .fd file, power up the notebook with those keys pressed etc... but I can't get which one of the 2 .fd files provided by TolstyLuty should I use: the one with or without SLIC?

Hello everyone. Sry for my bad english. I have Acer V3-571g with custom bios v 2.04 with advanced settings. For mac os i wondered to set video memory of Intel hd3000 for 384 mb. So i set Advanced->Video Configuration->Internal Graphic Device->Aperture Size for 384 mb. Also i set Internal Graphic Device in that menu to Enabled, and in previous menu Special Features to disabled. And in Main->graphic mode->integrated. After that i can't go to bios menu. And pc always restarts after 3 sec of power on. Drop battery doesn't help. Help pls.

can i upgrade to bios v2.21 i'm curently on bios version 1.17 modded
it came originally with windows 7 if yes which one should i use one with slic or one without slic
please help

Hello! I really appreciate what you guys do and as a newcomer I need your experience! So this is my BIOS screen:
As you can see Im still on the orginal BIOS with no settings whatsoever... Im having troubles with booting up from USB (laptop freezes on POST screen when USB stick connected). Figured maybe update of the BIOS will resolve the issue - worth a try right? Can anyone provide me with the link to unlocked BIOS or update of BIOS to higher version of possible?

EDIT: I found some modified 1.13 version and got the settings unlocked but no luck - still can not boot from USB. Not sure what is the problem - maybe I need a higher version of BIOS? Looking for update procedure right now!
EDIT2: Im up to BIOS 2.09 now! I can see a lot of settings that could help while booting up from USB that Win10 installation but they're locked. For anyone interested in topic here's what I've done:

1. I updated my 1.13 BIOS with this file: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/attachment.php?aid=4683 That gave me unlocked BIOS 1.13.
2. Then I could update from 1.13 to 2.09 with this file: https://fs05n3.sendspace.com/dl/97690964...9_SLIC.rar
3. The last step was to update my BIOS to the newest unlocked versio which I found here: http://acerfans.ru/uploads/forum/files/1...tyluty.rar That package contains unlocked version 2.21. Instructions are inside the package in readme file but I found more clear ones on youtube:


The best information is - MY LAPTOP DOES NOT GET STUCK ON THE POST SCREEN WITH USB STICK IN IT! I can finally install windows 10 yay!

Funny I came here for help and it came out the other way around. Hopefully it will save some trouble for a lot of people!

Ok I want just to explain that You are lucky as used Generalized version !
So these Bioses Modded didn't modify your Bios DMI Data and You din't lose any
laptop information (Windows license too) !
I know all these Bioses Mods and I am happy You have experimented by yourself !
Next time will be better ask before as remember using Bios Mod form different
users create a Laptop CLONE !

Lol I had no idea things like this may happen hah. All I wanted is to install Win 10 on my laptop.

Btw Im experiencing a problem with playback HD videos, seems like my laptop is throttling a bit. (Every now and then) It looks that the video pauses for half, up to one second and then tries to catch up to the playback by speeding it up for a bit. Its pretty annoying, was not happening before I updated the BIOS.
