[REQUEST] HP Envy 6 WILL DONATE $$$
#1
I have an HP Envy 6 laptop with an Intel i7 3517u, AMD HD 8750m 2GB, 500GB HDD, 32GB msata ssd, and 8GB ram.

It is a known fact that if you un-raid the ssd drive that was used for cashing the os origonally on the hdd, the bio would only list the hdd as a boot option even thought you can remove the hdd and it will boot from the ssd...

I am looking for an unlocked bios with as option to select my ssd to boot first, otherwise I will be forced to use software to do it!

Are you SURE this is the ONLY way? Can it be possible to stop the 8750m low gpu utilization in all games through a bios or firmware mod?

Other laptop manufactures (big name gaming laptop makers like MSI, Asus, etc) sometimes send specific users that have problems, like I have with my gpu, patches that modify the bios and or firmware of he laptop that can unrestrict the limitations it previously had.

Hello, Boboman342!
We can change some hidden setiings with Falseclock Method, you must prepare USB stick.
IF your problem is Boot devices priority, you must do some steps.
HDD must contain No active partitions and SSD have it only.
Check it in MMC-Disk management.

Sorry I did not reply earlier, but I uses Plop boot manager installed on the hdd to point to the ssd to boot from. Works great.

The only real things I would like control over are my fan speeds and edit the 8750m's clock speeds. I know the first one is probably impossible, and I can overclock the 8750m with software myself, but this disables its power saving state that takes my laptop's battery life from 6 hours web browsing, down to 2 1/2 Sad
