Yeah, that would be cool thanks, I don't intend to use any other WLAN card apart from the new one, so if you think that will work better then I'll go for that too.

still doesnt work

just want to check tham im doing it right,,,,

I flashed the bios from the installer you provided, the laptop ran through the installer then restarted, after restart, i changed over the wlan card, then got the same 702 error.

am i missing something, or not doing something right??

Hmmmm have you removed hptools partition before flashing the moded bios?

thiink so, did a clean install when i got the laptop, the only partition on the hard drive is for windows (if thats what you mean?)
