[REQUEST]LG X140 A.ASB2T BIOS Hyperthreading Unlock
#1
Hi,i have an issue with my Lg X140 netbook's bios.

I have an Atom Cpu(Intel Atom N450),which supports hyperthreading.

But my bios doesn't have an option to enable that feature.(It has no cpu adjustment menu at all, just shows the info of system that's all.)

I want to access this feature, which can provide me a little bit performance improvement.

It has an Insyde H2O bios in it,which i add as an attachment on this post.

Can you help me?

There is no such menu like you said.

There is main-advanced-security-boot-info menus that i have.

And none of them contains related options to ht.

the advanced section have just a three menu.

Usb Legacy
Hdd Configure as-Ide or Ahci-
Mute button option

Setting: HT Support, Variable: 0x1A4[1]
Option: Auto, Value: 0x1
Option: Disabled, Value: 0x0
I cannot found bit locks for 2 hidden tabs so you can try Falseclock's method described in his thread on top of this section.
Prepare USB stick and copy BOOTX64.efi
Boot from stick and give command:
setup_var 0x1a4 0x01

Please,do not post requests me in PM.Bios modding is very dangerous work.If i provide you confirmed modded bios, please donate for my dangerous work https://goo.gl/98BgtO.Thank you!

1. Take USB stick and format to FAT32
2. Create directory structure EFI\Boot
3. Download BOOTX64.EFI
4. Put downloaded file to Boot directory.
5. Boot from USB stick
6. Run in command line:
setup_var 0x1A4 0x01
P.S. Too slow...

Thank you,@Deathbringer and @Da Vinci Code

But i couldn't done achieve this.

I formatted my usb stick to fat32

I put the efi shell.rar's content in it.

I choose usb stick on boot menu.(Accessed it with f10 key)

But there is nothing happened, because literally thereis nothing, just a command line pointer is blinking.

And i cant type anything from keyboard.

Did you created EFI/boot folders?
Can you boot from another USB stick?
Did you tried to install OS from USB in past?

Yes,i created EFI\Boot folders.

I can try with another usb stick

I've installed Windows10 and Linux Mint with this usb stick on this(This is Fujitsu AH530)laptop and on Lg X140 netbook.

Lg X140 installed with Windows 10 Home Single Language.
