[REQUEST] Lenovo 3000 N200-0687 (66ET60WW) Whitelist Removal
#1
I've had a go at modding my own BIOS, but I usually fail at Phoenix BIOS hacking and this was no exception. Tongue
The patch tool I used did find a whitelist entry and created a patched file though so I think it should be easy enough for someone who has a better relationship with Phoenix BIOS.

Anyway, like the title says, it's a Lenovo 3000 N200. Label says it's type 0687-A31. Website says this is based on type 0687-4GM.

BIOS download link: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...et60ww.iso
Original card PCI ID: 8086:4227
BIOS version name is the same as the ISO name above - 66ET60WW (0.11 )

Big thanks if someone can help - the supplied card is driving me crazy with it's stupidness (wrong channel set thank to Lenovo and Intel being stupid, and doesn't work well in the Linux distro I'm using).

I second this cause - I need to set fan speeds etc. in Lenovo 3000 n200, I hope someone can figure this out for me.

Hello,

is there anybody who knows where to find a BIOS version for the Lenovo 3000 N200 0769 (V. 3.05) without a whitelist for the Wifi cards?

I would like to install a Intel AC 7260 card for using the ac standard but after reading all the posts I suppose that this will fail without manipulation of the BIOS.

Thank you very much and sorry for my bad english.

Hello everybody,

I just bought the wifi card Intel AC 7260 and mounted it into the notebook. No problem with the card, the BIOS did not refuse the card and it works great.

So no more need for modifying the BIOS.

Kind regards

Please help me to make a whitelist bios for my Lenovo 3000 N200-0687 laptop. The original WIFI Card is dead, and I am not able to install a new one. Thank you so much.

Hi!
Ask for a reupload here. Or try the mod I just made.

Thank you for your help. I am wondering whether is that possible for you to remove the battery capacity check for me in the modded bios? Because my battery is dead and I really dont wanna to waste extra money for this laptop anymore.

Basically, the battery of my N200 is dead. However, in order to update the bios, when I run the flashing tools, the laptop requires the battery to be charged at least with 20% of cpacity and AC to be plugged in. But since the battery is dead, it cannot be charge anymore, then I cannot flash the bios

Okay, now the BIOSCTL script will not be used to check your battery, and the BIOS will be flashed. However, it also requires my mod to be correct to use a new WIFI card.
