Got absolutely no help from Lenovo today. For those who do.... ???

Have to replace my WiFi NIC, but got a message during boot: unauthorized hardware

Are you able to remove the whitelist from the BIOS of my B580? You're my last hope to get that fixed. Here's the info you need:

bios: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj53us.exe

old NIC: Broadcom
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_060814E4&REV_01
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_028000

new NIC: Intel Centrino Advanced-N-6235 (WiFi + Bluetooth)

hope that's all info you need.

Many thanks for your answer

I'm sorry, I can't find fparts.txt. Tried running the tool in compatibility mode, still the same error

In your first message, you've told me to download and unpack the tool. There was nothing to unpack in this link, I've only got this file:

NEW_BACKUP_FPTs.exe

Is that correct?

Thanks and regards
