Hello I have tried this today, the flash completed ok, I then restarted the laptop, BIOS displayed but the laptop will now no longer boot for some reason, it doesn't come up with any error, the screen just goes blank.
Any Ideas?

I don't know why, as flashing gone well like You said and laptop reboot into Bios normaly !
I can suggest to Clear CMOS (NVRAM) memory using MoBo Jumper or removing Battery,
remove AC Adapter Cable and Battery also !
Have You tried to use new WWan Card or the issue is also gave with older ?
The problem with this Bios is that there isn't a Recovery Name so It seems that
We cannot Recover It !
A possibility is the SPI Programmer with POMONA Soic Clip (External Eeprom Programmer)
Let me know
I will look for a Recovery file

I have removed battery and bios backup battery and power cord. left for a few minutes and then retried. The bios has lost all its settings date and time etc but it still will not boot. It isn't able to boot from the USB drive either but does detect it as I am able to select it after F12 at boot. Strange!

Tried to remove the wireless original wireless card from the laptop and it boots!!, Put the new card in and it fails and hangs, so it does seem to be an issue with the whitelist look up!.

As I can boot into windows with the wireless card removed, I have also been able to reflash with the original Lenovo BIOS, which luckily I had stored.
Flashed with Lenovo Bios, added the wireless card and its now booting back up with the original card in!

Thanks, but getting error 28.

Some other posts experiencing it had success with a different batch file? What can I change to give that version a go?

This laptop came preinstalled with Win8, Lenovo's support site lists 62cn40ww as a 'windows 7 bios' (I used to think BIOS' were OS independant, but having seen how much Win8 integration is in this and how much hassle i had taking that OS off, maybe not anymore...). On the off chance that some Win8 bastardness is to blame for locking this, think it'd be worth a try flashing first to that then either trying your supplied one or giving you a backup from that version?

Thanks for the help so far.
