[REQUEST] Lenovo G580 (62CNxxWW) Whitelist removal
Will do. Still on Flashing BIOS region backup.

This is the 62cn97ww from Lenovo website that does flash fine for me. It is only an .exe though, I do not know how/if you can extract the actual bios.

Okay. This is original from Lenovo 62cn40ww that does not flash and gives Secure capsule error. Again I can only get .exe and don't know how to extract the WPH, sorry.

I have managed to get the 62cn40ww.wph original BIOS by taking it from temp before it tries (and fails) to flash. Here it is: http://rghost.net/82RP6b6rV

By the same method, here is 62cn97ww.cap: http://rghost.net/6T2H8XmQ5

For some reason I am unable to make what happened in post #20 happen again, I had to restart as it was sat on the same dialogue for over an hour with no progress.

Any ideas?

Hello, I have problem with BIOS whitelist too. I've tried 8 different WLAN modules, but without success.
My laptop type is G580 model 20157.
Modded BIOS - tried, under Windows without luck - BIOS flashing won't start.
In DOS from bootable USB - it gives me error 28 - Protected Range registers....
Is there any chance to flash it successfully?

if you use someone else's modification, it is dangerous!

So if I backup my BIOS with BIOS backup toolkit - is it possible to mod my existing BIOS and flash it to my laptop?
