Hello guys! Please help me here.
My rig is a Lenovo G580 (20157),

Bios ver.: 62CN40WW

Current original card Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n Wireless Network Adapter PCI
Card to be added : BCM943228HMB

Please, if you can remove the Wireless Cards whitelist from the BIOS.

Acer Products has not used Whitelist anyway !
It's strange your rquest . . . what is the error You get using the new WiFi Caard ?

Really? Ok. Everytime I put in the new card, Intel 7260 AC+Bluetooth, my laptop will not post, I can't get to the bios menu, and of course, the hard drive won't load. The laptop just freezes on the splash screen and restarts over and over again. When I put my original card back in, everything works flawlessly.

Hello. I need help.

My laptop is a Lenovo G580 (20157) with BIOS ver. 62CN97WW. I upgraded it from the original version: 62CNC41WW.

Now i want to downgrade to the old version or maybe to 62CN40WW which i see is compatible too. (on Lenovo website)

Before the upgrade i made a backup of the old BIOS which created a .ROM file. (using Universal Bios Backup)

Please give me instructions/tutorial on how to get that old BIOS back using the right tools.

The purpose of this is to get rid of that Whitelist check with the right mod and right BIOS version. You all know what i'm saying. Otherwise you won't read these lines.

Dude, you effin' rule! Thanks a ton for giving me that updated BIOS, I've been through multiple restarts after installing it and I'm able to POST every time! So happy I can use an AC & Bluetooth WIFI card now! Thanks again for your expertise!
