Do you think there might have been a problem with the extract I provided?

I made two what I believe to be back ups and they're in the .rar file here.

Any help is appreciated!


Also probably important to mention, my laptop no longer powers on and when I try to detect, erase or read the chip using the hardware flasher I hear the "USB connection" tone about five times before it stops and then it never detects my chip..

Only 2nd is good and 1st is empty all filled by 0xFFh char !

Thanks for the help again! I tried to flash using the hardware but its still not detecting the chip. I connect the clip and get the USB tone about five times, then I try to flash and get either a detect chip error, erase chip error or read chip error. In any case I can't flash because the chip isn't detected.. Any ideas?

You get some Clip problems as 2nd file was good enough !
You have to clear the contact feet on chip just using some abrasive sponge
delicately !

I made those two backups before I flashed the first modified .bin you provided. In any case, I tried cleaning the contacts and nothing works. I didn't think I could brick the chip to the point where I couldn't even reflash it, but any time I connect it will do the USB tone and then say "No programmer connected" or read, write, detect or verify error.

Good day. My mom loves her notebook, that she has hand painted, and therefore she is not fond of upgrading.. Unfortunately wifi card has died(extremely low sensitivity, works only in low proximity to wifi AP, and the issue is not in the antennae, i've tried the card on another notebook - extremely poor reception is module related.)

I know that BIOS re-flashing requires an SPI programmer. thankfully i have one and a necessary skills to use it. Unfortunately i am unable to understand how to correctly hack the BIOS. Are there any instructions on how to hack the BIOS? 

P.S. If, by any chance, there is a Good Samaritan - perhaps someone will help to hack the BIOS?

I own the Lenovo Flex 15 59416277 and would like to have my whitelist removed in order to upgrade my wifi.

My BIOS Version is 8ACN34WW

Currently installed Wifi card
