[REQUEST] Lenovo IdeaPad P400, P500, Z400, Z500 (71CNxxWW) Whitelist Removal

There is a discrepancy in the bios. Your original bios is 71CN51WW but what is modded is 71CN45WW. Also be aware of the bluetooth problem after you install the modded bios.

I succeeded to install the network adapter. Now rocking on 5ghz band! Big Grin Thanks.

But is there still no fix for bluetooth? And, do you know if WiDi will work?

Nothing I know of. See this link and this for the latest about the bluetooth problem. I haven't tried the widi.

I can confirm that Wifi is working on the AC band, so the main feature is working.
Bluetooth is not working. Too bad, still trying to fix this, (any help?)
Wireless Display is working, really really good! No lags

Here is a test I made with the modded bios. Install the original wifi card back. Check the bluetooth. Bluetooth will alternate to be enabled and disabled for every power down and power on cycle. My conclusion: Bluetooth is affected by the modding.

I hope you can check your modding procedure and make the necessary corrections.

Major edit:

Everything I said before about any sort of bluetooth whitelists is false. I got bluetooth to work by covering with a piece of electrical tape pin 51 on the wireless card itself (Intel 7260 with BT). It turns out that my laptop was turning off bluetooth on boot up. From looking at other people who bought this card this is a common issue on a lot of other laptops even without any whitelist. All pin 51 does is control the hardware switch to turn it on or off. Pin 51 is if you're looking at the WiFi card from the front like this http://images10.newegg.com/productimage/...191-02.jpg (This is the stock image from Newegg) its the very last pin on the right.

I'd like to thank this site and its members for all the help with the bios mod otherwise the "Unsupported wireless card" message would still be displayed.

Although the bluetooth functionality was solve by taping pin 51 of the Intel AC7260 wifi card I am still trying to find an answer why placing back the original card will cause the bluetooth to act intermittently. Could you try the test by placing the original card back and see if bluetooth does not act as described earlier?

Thanks in advance.

I have a feeling it has to do with the whitelist removal. The original card might need that whitelist enabled (aka stock) to fully work. I attempted to use the original wifi card in my other laptop and only bluetooth worked. No matter what I did I could not get wifi to install correctly although my laptop did recognize the wifi part but would give me a code 10 meaning "This device cannot start" error.
