@BDMaster, do you have the Stock BIOS File for Z500 ? ( I have Z400 thou, but its the same anyways) , please i badly need it for reprogramming my Corrupted BIOS : one for the EC and Main , if you have, please can i have a copy? : a hundred thanks!!

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z500 - and did not realise there was a wifi whitelist until I installed a new card with 5GHz wifi.

The laptop currently runs BIOS 71CN51WW and is available here: http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn51ww.exe

Very grateful for any help in removing the whitelist!

It works, i just apply the modded bios on my lenovo idepad z400. I'm very very happy.

Just want to say thank you sovem and victorjabur for the mod and link to easy guide. I thought I had wasted my money on a new wlan card, and when someone on this forum was harassing me for money when I asked for help, I thought it was a lost cause.  But this download and link had me using my new 5GHz AC wlan card within 5 minutes of finding this forum thread.

I have a Z500 with official BIOS 1.21 and I would like to have the Whitelist removal for Wifi card.

Is there anyone that could mod my backup BIOS so I can keep my DMI data ?
Maybe there is some how-to for do it myself?

the wifi card of my lenovo Ideapad Z500 is dead and I would like to change it 
I have already tried with old generation wifi cards but my pc was still on an error page
