[REQUEST] Lenovo IdeaPad S400 (6DCNxxWW) BIOS Unlock
#1
Exclamation
Hello, working unofficially a bit with electronics and computers maintenance, but I come here to get help.

Amazingly, but I have a Lenovo notebook s400 bios InsydeH20 3.7 (6DCN89WW (V8.03)).

Original manufactures, and somehow I made an involuntary sequence of keys and accessed the hidden settings.

but I can not access them again, was wondering if anyone could help me tested and which keys tighten again.

I have a Lenovo S400 Touch Laptop.

Do you guys have a BIOS update for this model?

I bought this brand-New Lenovo and even though I never enabled the "INTEL AT (Anti-Theft)
(a.k.a. Laptop Lo-Jack), I have this persistent BIOS-RootKit running in the background in Windows:

C:\Windows\System32\rpcnet.exe
C:\Windows\System32\rpcnetp.exe
C:\Windows\System32\rpcnetp.dll
C:\Windows\System32\rpcnet.dll
etc..

The BIOS MFG is : "Insyde H20"

Lenovo refuses to assist me in removing this SPYWARE and try to make pretend that they don't
have it enabled by default (even if you never enabled it). Lenovo has apparently inserted this
spyware in everyone's Laptop Computer.
Anti-Virus software providers have electively white-listed this rogue spyware or at least fail to detect it.
This seems to be some sort of Lenovo/Intel/Government Backdoor in everyone's Laptop.
I asked my girlfriend and she told me that she would not like to share her nude photos with them nor her secret Apple Pie recipe.
So with that...
-

Do you guys have a BIOS Backup Tool that I can use to possibly backup/Update the current BIOS FW?

If you don't have or can't produce a Clean-BIOS update for this model, I hope to take a crack at it,
in removing this rogue spyware from my stock-BIOS...

Please Help and advice!!!
Thanks

thank you for the links and your help.

I came across the Universal BIOS Backup tool before, and all links to it including yours are reported (by Vipre Antivirus) as being a Trojan.

The "BACKUP_Tools.exe" appears to be clean of Trojans/Malware but reports errors that it cannot find any image file at the end..
it doesn't allow you view what the progress was or save a report of everything that took place...
I need to use the PAUSE bottom and if I am lucky I might be able to save a Screen-Shot via Print-Screen...

Thank you for the Mod , Flashed using USB DOS boot disk and your flash.bat, everything seems working, mSATA SSD detected by OS also More settings available in BIOS. Most are beyond my understanding.

Do you have any suggestion on any setting that might help me Install OSX yosemite without too much hassle and without DSDT patching.

Any chance you can Mod a BIOS for HP EliteBook 8540p Notebook, I will upload a BIOS backup if you have any chance of modding. With my limited knowledge about BIOS modding, Using google search so far I found No hope for HP Elitebook 8540.

Here is the link to original link for my current BIOS, I think I made a mistake updating to F.50
