[REQUEST] Lenovo IdeaPad S405 Whitelist Removal

Edit: Before I posted a request for a bios, I tried to wrap my head around things and this blog had quite a bit of info about modding this. He modified the Insyde flash utility (that comes in the executable provided by Lenovo to flash the bios) to ignore a modded bios. Would this be a possible solution for me?
http://donovan6000.blogspot.co.nz/2013/0...arted.html

Donovan is trying to byapass Insyde SecureFlash, but didn't find a solution !
Now He is going to research about HP RSA check control Bios internal Modules and so leaving the Insyde back.
We have only a chance to get the right Tool for flashing in Dos Mode !
Try simply this comand :

flashit.exe flashme.rom /all

I will try to get the right comand for Phlash16 too and I will post here, quickly !
Let me know

Ok try this one, copy all files from modified folder to your USB Dos Bootable Stick and then copy bios.bin (Mod Bios) too, Boot from USB and run flash.bat :

http://rghost.net/56719705

This use Pflash.exe UEFI flash tool for Phoenix Bios !

So far, I've let it run for 20 minutes.
It says "Read BIOS file and onboard BIOS..."
I'll let it run for longer but it doesn't appear to be getting past this step.

Edit: So far it's been going for 2 hours now. I rebooted the machine and it boots up like normal. Bios appears unchanged. Unable to boot with new WLAN card enabled.

Hi friend,
the only chance is to buy an SPI External USB Programmer with Pomona Soic Clip and write It directly into Eeprom !
I am sorry Sad I cannot do more.

Thanks for giving it a go. At least I have the modded BIOS now. If anything turns up in the future that can flash it to my computer, I can do that. You've been very helpful.

Well, I figured I might as well buy them for the heck of it. I will come back when I have them.

Well reporting back as the tools needed to flash the chip arrived today. I was able to successfully flash the chip with the Bios you provided. Thanks a ton BDMaster. All the menus are unlocked and I can use a 3rd party wifi adapter.

I would be willing to make a tutorial. That being said, all I did was follow this tutorial. http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-TU...ware-Flash There are slight differences as I used the Clip instead of de-soldering the chip. The software for the flash was a bit different and I had to do a little research for a workaround for windows (I bought a cheaper Chinese flashing usb dongle.) but over the next few days I can compile some print screens and a basic write-up of what I did.
