BIOS flashing procedure was successful.
However, it has not been without incident...
In the course of trying to flash, I found that PRR2 required.

Working on modifying my the Insyde BIOS on my Lenovo Y580 5DCN90WW(V8.01). I know there are unlocked copies on techinferno, but I'm not interested in overclocking anything, I just want to use my new Intel 7260 Wireless-AC. The Lenovo BIOS has subtle differences from HP. I believe I have found the infinite loop. I need a decompiler so I can change the op codes and produce a DIF file so I can edit the BIOS with WINHEX. The free and trial versions of IDA Pro don't seem to support WIN PE. Attempted to use HopperApp in Ubuntu, but it was very unstable, constant force closes.

After looking around online I found many hacks that work for the 5DCN40WW, however I have 36WW, will the 40WW work or do i specifically need a 36WW?

Gentlemen: I could use some help with removing the lenovo whitelist so I can install a dual band wifi card without blue tooth. There is a separate brodcom card for blue tooth. Could someone please craft me a modified Bios for this task?

I have tried to be thorough and read everything I could on this forum regarding what you might need. I have checked your white list bios section but did not find completed bios for this laptop configuration.

I made a backup with Universal BIOS Backup 2.0 toolkit.
I made a backup also with Backup Tools 14A
