EDIT: ok I can confirm this myself the original bios .exe file aka 54CN18WW.exe which is inside the WL-removed archive(.rar file) is identical (contents-wise) to the .exe one for Z575
so then G575 was a typo for Z575 Smile
EDIT2: and now I notice it's also in the thread title lol oops my bad

Hi, I was just wondering was there a typo in the OP saying G575 instead of Z575 ? it makes sense because G575 has different type of bios it's 41CN21WW (V1.07) http://support.lenovo.com/en_HK/research...D=HT072969

So, I guess it must've been a typo (unless I'm missing something) which means I shouldn't be looking for G575 bioses as equivalent to Z575 ones (that would be a bad bad mistake Big Grin )

Also, this means that this thread
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-RE...st-removal
can also use this same WL-removed bios?

Thank you.

I'm probably a moron, but I've never modded bios before. When I download the above mentioned link the bios file is named bios1.wph. I ran the flash.bat file as an administrator but it doesn't appear to do anything. A black box popped up for a split second and went away but thats it. System never restarted, and no change after I manually restarted after 15 min or so.

I do have a bootable usb with awdflash on it, but I'm unclear about the exact steps (despite the tutorials here). Is the easiest way to run this to copy the entire .rar download to a bootable usb and rename bios1.wph to bios.bin? I just don't want to fry my only computer so any specific advise (explained at the 5th grade level) is appreciated. I assume this is the correct bios mod for my system - I'm running a Lenovo Z575 with bios version 54CN18WW, and I'm just trying to remove the whitelist so the system will recognize the new card I put in since the old RALINK was garbage.

Thanks for your help!

Ok friend,
to flash It from Dos You need a phlash.exe tool, then
You have to prepare an USB Dos Formatted Bootable Stick and copy all files into
then Boot from USB Dos and execute pflash /cvar /bbl /sa /sv /v 54CN18WW.ROM
but You need convert .WPH to .ROM (very complicated).
I suggest to copy bios_mod folder to C HD root rename It as mod, then
much easy is to open a Comand Prompt as Administrator CLI window and You got
C:\ then use a comands sequence :

cd C:\mod
flash.bat

That's It
Let me know
