[REQUEST] Lenovo Legion T5 (O54KT1DA) BIOS Unlock
#1
Hi, sorry for my english, I am using translation.
Here is my story.
I bought myself a Lenovo Legion T5 26IOB6 system unit. Honestly, I did not know that I would have problems installing RAM. I bought G.SKILL TRIDENT Z RGB 32GB (2x16GB kit) 3600MHz CL16 RAM, installed it, and it runs at only 2133 MHz. I updated the bios from the official Lenovo website. In the BIOS, it became possible to select certain memory profiles - GEAR1, GEAR2. But the RAM did not react when choosing these profiles. After reading the forums, I found out that RAM can operate at a frequency of 3200 MHz with a maximum voltage of 1.2 volts according to JADEC standards.
There was a task to modify the BIOS so that it was possible to select the XMP profile in the BIOS. I have radio engineering friends. Soldered two flash drives with bios. One is 8 megabytes, the other is 16 megabytes. We made dumps using the programmer. I then downloaded the AMIBCP program and edited the 16MB dump to include the XMP profile.
We loaded the edited BIOS back onto the USB flash drive and started the computer. On startup, the screen will display "Can not find or load Rom image!! System will shut down after 5s...".
I'm looking for help on unlocking hidden bios partitions (in particular, unlocking a memory partition to be able to select an XMP profile, and if possible, unlocking all partitions) and disabling Flockdn protection for further flashing without a programmer.
Bios dumps are attached.
Thank you for your help.
Machine Type: 90RT
Bios Version: O54KT1DA

Hello,
I own a Lenovo Legion T5 26IOB6 desktop PC. Everything works fine, but like many others, I'm experiencing issues with RAM frequency. I installed Kingston Fury Beast RGB 3×8GB DDR4 3200 MHz modules, but no matter what I try, the RAM stays locked at 2400 MHz (and sometimes 2933 MHz with the original stick only).
I tried enabling XMP via GRUB using
Code:
setup_var
commands. The profile is enabled (0x1), and the memory frequency is even forced to 3200 MHz. However, in practice, the system always defaults back to 2400/2933 MHz, and memory voltage resets to default instead of 1.35V.
I also dumped the BIOS using a CH341A programmer (the board has two chips: 8 MB and 16 MB), edited the 16 MB region using AMIBCP and UEFIToolEditor to try unlocking memory options, and flashed it back. After flashing, the PC either boots normally or goes into a boot loop — but no changes take effect. Boot Guard seems to still be active and likely blocks any modified firmware.
I saw someone posted a similar issue back in 2022, and they also mentioned disabling FLOCKDN protection. Could someone explain what FLOCKDN is and if it can be disabled?
I'm looking for help to unlock hidden BIOS menus, especially XMP and memory overclocking options, or to permanently disable Boot Guard / FLOCKDN, so I can apply full BIOS mods without being blocked.
Any help or shared experience is highly appreciated.
Machine Type: 90RT
BIOS Version: O54KT25A
Thanks in advance!
