I was really hoping
But with fptw64 -rewrite -f bios1.rom i get again Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space

run fptw64 -rewrite -bios -f bios.rom

I can downgrade to bios version 1.0 if you think it helps. But I don't think so, the changelog does not show anything interesting regarding flash chip security http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj03ww.txt

Oh I just see I cannot downgrade to 1.0 . The current version v1.11 which I have installed is the only version online. Here I uploaded the flash tool unpacked from the vendor. The BIOS Update which I have installed is in the "jdet49ww" subfolder

It says it is the same version number, which I can understand Maybe update the version number to something different than "JDET49WW(1.11)" ?

Use WinFlash64 or WinFlash64s
