Hi,

I've read through this thread.

It seems like BIOS mods for this X131e has to be customised for each laptop. A BIOS dump has to be done using TESTBACK.exe.

My concern is would this BIOS dump also include the keys for SLIC/Win8? Don't feel very safe dumping my BIOS on the Internet for all to download.

Yes, it will contain the keys. But it is also true that we need them for nothing, we already have methods to inject SLIC on BIOSES...
You can send me your DUMP by PM and I send you the mod, no need to post in internet for all to dl... altought I don't see any danger on doing it...

Thanks so much for the quick turnaround - unfortunately I'm getting an Error: 28 when I try to flash. I have also tried running prr 1st, then flash. Any suggestions?

Hi friend,
use this tool to dump your Bios nad look Eeprom Status, run It as Administrator and upoad here result file :

New bioses are going to protect Eeprom memory Write, so It's more difficult or impossible to reflash Modded one without an SPI Programmer.
