[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E440 & E540 (J9ETxxWW) Whitelist Removal

(01-10-2016, 07:59 AM)strongaaa Wrote: Hi, My problem is that while I BIOS program, Post boot time from 3 to 20 seconds increases and You attach a file size that is up to 12M but Must be 8m Sad

Unfortunatelly it is only one file that I was able to find. Sad. Maybe the Lenovo ThinkPad E540 is so special that it has so big file. I really not a pro in this.

Anyway thaks for looking in it, I will simply return ac intel wi-fi back to eshop and keep the regular one Sad

Good luck with another BIOS modding and thanks for all that are keeping good job with this website and forum for the others that would like to have freedom to do anything they want with the purchased hardware.

Hi,

I would like to put in a new Wifi card into my laptop but can't due to the IBM/Lenovo's whitelist nonsense. Here is the information I managed to gather:

Laptop model: Lenovo Thinkpad E540
Bios version: J9ET9CWW (2.22)
Original bios: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/j9uj22ww.exe
Bios backup via Universal Bios Backup toolkit v2: http://rgho.st/8CZ9pSVx2

Currently running: Intel Wireless N-7260 and I want to change to Intel Wireless AC-7260
PCI ID of current wifi card (N-7260): PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_42628086&REV_73
PCI ID of new wifi card (AC-7260): PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B1&SUBSYS_40708086&REV_73

I hope that is all. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
