W541 here, GNET94WW 2.42, trying to install off whitelist wlan card.
I have the c341a programmer and clip piece, and I followed this guide:
https://notthebe.ee/Removing-the-Wi-Fi-W...0-etc.html

Everything looked fine and appeared to be successful in the patching and flashing process. Trouble began when I tried to boot it up. It threw a 0271 check time and date error on boot. I also tried to use the new card and the whitelist was still activated causing the system to halt. My only thought is that this may be because the CMOS battery was disconnected while taking it apart and patching it. So without a CMOS battery constantly constantly connected will flashing the BIOS fail?
When I did try and boot with the new wlan card, the system still halted.
Should I stick with this guide and try to patch/flash the BIOS while the CMOS battery is still attached? Is the quide not appropriate for my model? I uploaded the BIOS dump in the link below. Any advice would be appreciated. Accessing the chips on this mobo is a pain considering the case, screen, and chasis need to be removed.
