[REQUEST] Lenovo Y50-70 (9ECNxxWW) BIOS Unlock
(02-16-2016, 12:22 PM)Da Vinci Code Wrote: Hello, maxxoz!
If it not working under win 10, so you need downgrade to win 7 or win 8.
Follow steps in that document, when you downgraded to 1.14, prepare RUFUS usb stick, copy all content of mod folder and boot from usb.
Regards.

Thanks for the answer,
is it possible that I downgrade the bios, and then windows 10 won't work anymore?
For the moment under windows 10 i've went as far as possible without doing the downgrade and it seemed to work

thanks

to maxxoz:
You may try to run flash application under win 7-8 compatibility.

to Gardajo:
Try this one
http://rghost.net/67HSbZZCS
You must downgrade to ver 1.13 or 1.14 and then flash this mod from USB stick in Dos mode.
Regards.

If this method didn work, you can use Falseclock method. Yoy can disable necessary options in Bios menu to load BOOTX64.EFI.

Update to Maxxoz and Gardajo:
Unpack the Bios Mod and copy the "modified" folder into C: HD root place !
Then open Command Promt with Admin Rights (CLI window C:\), put your laptop
into Sleep Mode and then wake up it,
after this execute these comands from CLI window :

cd \

cd modified

fptw -f bios.bin -bios

(or fptw64 for Windows x64)

Hello, thanks for the instructions,
I haven't done the flash yet, but I have found something that seems important,
my lenovo y50-70 was delivered with a dual band wireless AC 7260 inside,
and it seems that this card is forbidden by the 1.14 BIOS.
Will that card be compatible with your modded bios?
Thanks
