After much searching I found this forum and the possible solution to my 48 Hz cap on my y50 UHD. I am currently running it in 1080p and want it to run at 60 Hz.
Here is my BIOS backup https://www.sendspace.com/file/jdh122
This is my first time so some instructions on how to flash the BIOS would be helpfu tool.

Hello,
My laptop is Lenovo y50-70, I had Ubuntu and Windows 10 dual boot installed....I formatted the hard disk outside the laptop and returned it back 
now when the laptop starts I get these messages "Ubuntu boot failed" then "Windows boot manager boot failed" I tried to burn an iso of linux or windows on a cd and a usb but I can't boot in uefi mode and the only working boot is from sata  .... If I change the boot type from the bios menu from legacy to UEFI the bios don't save changes the only change that can be saved is the clock....is there any solution to install another bios or remove the ubuntu and windows boot options?
