If someone makes a way to control the fans (a working one with levels) i´m going to donate 100€, and i think i´m not the only one. I know for sure that could be a way, like energy manager has the option ¨cleanig dust¨where it puts both fans on 100% , so the fans can be controled by programs. I really need to control my lenovo y50 so the fans can start at 75-80º at 50% and at 97º/100%. I´m going to donate 100€ to the one how could make this possible, with a program, or thru bios.

What about Falseclock's mehtod?It works at ACER, Lenovo, Toshiba?
At now we can change settings via EFI shell at HP but does exist for other laptops?
I'll research this problem.
At worst, i can add thermal options into one of existed tabs before unlocking.
Before that please flash back last bios version.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. Can you give me more details how to do it? i´m not aware about this method or how to use it. Now i´m using bios v1.14 original (locked)

but nothing change !

Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space!

You have to downgrade and redo result file !



How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !
