Hi trying to find the right place to post for help unlocking my y50-70 BIOS....

I used the UBB util and it created this file:

It didnt work.... I got the following:

Try disable secure boot at fist, then flash the mod.

I cant find the setting for 'secure boot' how do I disable this? checked bios, msconfig, etc ...

P.S. look here about v. 37 is not rewritable so needs the Downgrade !

How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

after getting back to version 2.01 from version 1.13 my nvidia works fine,
i need to have bios advanced features with nvidia working...
